Project Overview
The Palm House is an iconic Victorian glasshouse and indoor rainforest within the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Its high-traffic heritage setting required durable pathways that complemented the natural landscape.
The Challenge
Designers required a surface that was durable, long-lasting, and visually sympathetic to the
surroundings, avoiding the harshness of traditional black asphalt while coping with high footfall.
The Solution
NatraTex Cotswold was selected to create pathways that combine the strength of asphalt with the
appearance of natural stone. Approximately 500m² of surfacing was installed, delivering a robust,
low-maintenance finish suitable for both pedestrian and light vehicular use.

Outcome
