What Landscaping Material Should I Use?

When it comes to hard landscaping materials, there is a wide range of materials to choose, especially when it comes to using them in designing outdoor spaces. In this article, we’ll take a look at the range of landscaping materials offered at NatraTex and what types of projects each landscaping material is suitable for.

Driveways

The installation of a decorative driveway to residential property can transform the whole look and feel of a home. Every driveway can provide space for parking, but a decorative asphalt driveway can also increase the curb appeal and the value of the property. The most common materials used for installation include concrete, gravel, paving stones, resin bound or resin bonded aggregate. Alternatively, our asphalt surface products, NatraTex Cotswold and NatraTex Colour can be used as a landscaping material to create attractive, hardwearing, and long-lasting driveways.

Patios

Patios are a common feature in many domestic properties. In gardens, a patio can be used as a place for outdoor furniture, or as space for children to play. Paving slabs and stone are generally used in the installation of patio areas. However, our NatraTex Cotswold and NatraTex Colour products are also suitable landscaping materials for installing patios due to their stability, durability and aesthetic appeal.

Footpaths

Footpaths are a main landscaping feature in the creation of parks and other accessible public spaces. Similar to driveways and patios, they are mostly built from loose or bound gravel, tarmac, or concrete. On the other hand, NatraTex Colour, Natratex Cotswold, and NatraTex ChipTex are excellent tarmac alternatives. For a more environmentally friendly option, NatraTex Eco is a world first leader, being made up of almost 50% recycled materials.

MUGA Pitches

For schools, leisure centres, and community spaces, multi-use games areas (MUGA pitches) are great for making the most use out of an area. It is important for sports and pitches to be constructed with a hard wearing landscaping material along with the right markings. NatraTex products are fast drying, perfect for sports and MUGA pitches. We have vivid blue NatraTex ColourTex as well as a range of other vivid and natural coloured materials.
